Well it knocked any salt noise down to zip on the dry & wet sand. I mean silence. This is nothing new to some of you, but I got to admit this is the first time I tried manual GB.
Today I'm getting into a wet suit (if I fit ) and try some waist deep hunting. The beaches here on the Gulf Coast are pretty easy on detectors as far as static. So my going in the water today, no waves and going to hit the high 60s. Anything's a Treasure !

Great! Keep the info coming...Sounds like there will be a few AtPros working the salt pretty soon, so any info on the set up would be appreciated! :please: Good Luck!

Good luck, Dancer. May you find gold & silver in your scoop. You already made a good deal on the wetsuit. Treasure is where you find it.

I have hunted some really salty beaches with black sand with mine. I just manually GB to 15,knock off two bars of sensitivity and usually enjoy quiet, gainful hunting, but if you hit the sand you will get a report. Stay with it and although annoying you will start to hear the difference between a weak signal and a bounce. It seems like everytime I hit the sand I get a VDI of 32.
