Trick my GT... finds Platum Ring on 1st hunt

Trick my GT (not my car) finds Platinum & Diamond Ring on 1st hunt.......

I just added a custom straight shaft to my new GT & meter and took it out for the 1st time beach combing on Saturday morning for about 4 hours and about 2 hours into the hunt the GT find's a heavy set platinum Diamond Ring...... Kind of had a sore arm swinging the GT for 4 hours ...will have to look into Doc's swingy thing...

VERY,VERY,WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rob nice find with the platinum ring. What's your opinion of the new straight rod assembly did you think it was a big improvement over the GTs stock straight rod. Later Ron

Thanks....... Yes the big improvement is I can see the meter much better and it Looks better...... but to be honest I have not used the stock shaft to compare......... will soon add a S1 probe for the parks..... with only 4 hours of use I already love the tones the GT put's out ....especially with the Bottle caps it's a kinda sqawks on the Caps even on the new (no Rust) Bottle caps.

Rob in ca,

Rob, you have a great start.I think the Sunray probe works best on the Sovereign.I used the stock shaft on the GT and it wasn't too bad,the big plus it was easy to transport in the car.
