Trial run Prism 6T

I recently acquired a mint Prism 6T, complete with the 4X6 shooter coil, the 8" and the standard 9" all with covers and rods. Yesterday I did a quick hunt at a couple of local tot lots to give it a try, using the 4X6 shooter. Came up with 5 quarters, a dime, nickel and numerous pennies as well as the usual zipper pulls and misc. trash. Surprisingly I came up with a 10 Krounur coin from Iceland for an unexpected find. The coin signals were solid and crisp with the tid's dead on. I'm not a big fan of the notched discrimination, but have to say it worked quite well. The multi-toned ID will take some getting used to as there are more tones than needed IMHO. but it worked well when I used it to back up the visual indication. All in all, I found the 6T to be a pleasure to use with the weight being quite reasonable and the response, depth etc. to be very capable.

That is the top of the Prizm line and a nice unit.

Just picked one up myself and plan on giving it a good workout. Glad to hear others are doing the same.
