I bought the unit in the spring of 2008 for $170.00 and it is in perfect working order. Cosmetically it has no issues of note, just the moderate wear you'd expect from about a year's worth of regular usage.
It got a little squirrelly on me earlier this year, I sent it in to Tesoro in July 2009 and they replaced the GB pot, replaced the power switch and recalibrated the unit.
I've only used it a couple times since getting it back from Tesoro, and it works good as new.
This pinpointer has a ground balancing knob as well as a tuning (sensitivity) knob which makes it an excellent choice for gold prospecting. I liked that it could be set up to either silent vibrate or audio mode with a light that goes off in either mode.
Included with the pinpointer is a sheath/belt holster, treasure pouch never used, instruction page, lifetime warranty card, repair tag from when I sent it for repair and my invoice from when I purchased it new.
Since the buyer won't be the original owner, I can't guarantee that this unit will be warrantied for life. But one of the great things about Tesoro products is they have always honored their lifetime warranties for me even when I wasn't the original owner. Other Tesoro users have said the same thing.
