Dear friends, while searching for treasure i got a strong signal in floor and i started digging. After 2 ft, signal got very strong and i further dug. At 4 ft signal is still very strong. Now at 7 ft depth signal is still equally strong in complete area ( about 5 ft X 8 ft). In air detector is working fine and so it do not seems false signal but we expected something within 4-5 ft depth and at 7 ft we are confused . Signal is still strong. Soil is very much damp but no iron particles or scrap found till now. Is it false signal? How it is that such a strong signal in that much large area. Please suggest if anyone have some idea about treasure hunting in old houses

What metal detector are you using?
WE HAVE A TEST PIT 7 FT DEEP NOW AND WE ARE EXPERIMENTING A BIT NOW. SURPRISINGLY, A METAL PLATE 30 INCH FROM GROUND IN A CAVITY IS DETECTED ONLY IF METAL DETECTOR COIL IS 8 TO 10 INCH ABOVE THE FLOOR AND NOT WHEN THE COIL IS FROM 1 TO 8 INCH FROM THE FLOOR. CAN ANY ONE TELL WHY IT IS SO??
