Treasure Hunting Trip - Bring me Luck ATX!

Hi Guys

well I have had two weeks practice (few siver rings and 4 gold rings (including a diamond ring) here in Auckland since receiving the ATX. Have learned the machine and learned to listen to the really deep, repeatable signals. Learned about the horrible shaft / grit issue design and how to counter it with a cover (now onto mod 2 by the way).

Modified a scoop so I can travel with it (targets can be very very deep) and are off to one of the Cook Islands (Rarotonga) today for 6 days - solely for treasure hunting! Taking the CTX 3030 (has been there before) and the ATX. Will update you on the machines travels and successes. Should be awesome!

Good Luck At The Cook Islands. One of the physiotherapists I work with moved there a few years back. I got here interested with metal detecting some years back, and she ended up getting an ACE 250. She came back for a visit at Christmas and is really enjoying working there.

Wonderful to hear you have been feeding the armadillo gold...It will want more...you know you might just have to dig a very deep hole every once in awhile.
As for the cam locks; I am working on to helping hands to get and keep the silt out. First I ordered a 12v power washer and just yesterday some red ThermaBands the same latex bands used in physiotherapy. The washer should be in tomorrow's delivery and the bands by Friday...I will post my results about the time you will have to haul all the heavy metal back home...
Good luck and
May the ring of gold be in your ears and its glitter in your scoop.

Good to see a bit of positive attitude reporting, have seen a few negative posts lately and some with link to long-winded opinions of self-serving nature.

A trip to Cook Islands do sound awesome.............have fun :detecting: !
