Treasure Commander metal detector

Has anyone tried the SI Treasure Commander metal detector.? If so, what are your thoughts. Please if you have never tried one, please do not reply. I know there will probably be several negative replies from people who have never really tried one......jackintexas

While I have not used one, I have researched it. The brand you've mentioned is fairly new, though the company that makes them isn't. This is the company that makes them http://groundefx.com/. It is owned by the same parent company that makes the Wildgame Innovations trail cameras, if memory serves me right. Basically, they took 2 models of their detectors and put a "Treasure Commander" logo on it. Hope this will help point you in the right directions.

Treasure hunters for the most part use what work, and those that don't perform are bought by first timers that don't do the necessary research before buying. You'll get an idea of how good a detector is by the number of responses you get by actual owners of the detector. If a detector works really well, there will be many satisfied owners willing to endorse their detector.

Yeah. The lack of information on the Ground EFX detectors is worrisome to me. Not much on the internet if you do a search.

The detector on the left in the photo is an EFX Swarm MX100E available from several sources for less than $145, the detector on the right is a Treasure Commander TC1X that is sold for $279 by Kellyco. They are the same detector except for the color scheme and a different rest under the arm cup.

I think your money would be better spent sticking with a proven detector from a well known manufacturer. Minelab, Whites, Garrett, Fisher, Teknetics, and Tesoro. Any of the detectors made by these companies will have lots of reviews on the internet. The companies I mentioned make detectors, have been for a long time, and have their own followings of satisfied customers. Of the ones mentioned I have my own personal preference as do most people, but I would buy from any of those companies.

I'm surprised they don't throw in a free ice tea brewer with every detector purchased:laugh:

I appreciate all the comebacks. Been detecting 37 years. Have had about 50 detectors over the years. Have several now. Always wondering when a new detector is on the market. Not really wanting one......Jack
