Treasure Coast North Wind Cut. Gold & Silver

Bob @ Sebastian

New member
20 to 25 mph North wind put a nice cut on this beach. I missed low tide by 2 hours, but still managed to snagged this 14k Wedding Guard ring and a .925 child's ring. Always carry a hand held GPS, so I have the Lat/Lon where I found the guard ring and will be looking for the rest of the set in the morning. Forecast is for N/NE 15 to 20 mph tonight and all day tomorrow. Should continue to cut.

Gulf Hunter, Do you ever hunt the getty's there? If we ever get back to Galveston I was thinking about those. Jack in Austin Texas.

A Guard Ring is a second ring that is soldered to a engagement ring making a wedding set. Notice that the ring is shaped with a curve to fit around the solitaire ring to make a custom look to the set.

Do you mean jettys, Jack. Would you be referring to the ones on seawall? I hunt those, but not the north and south, as they are very treacherous. Even the seawall locations can have bad rips up close to them. GH

Wow Bob, nice finds.. Great Cut.. I went to Clearwater Beach yesterday and the beach was cut that way too, But I did not find anything but bottle tops & taps.

Hey me & my sister are coming over your way this Saturday, any suggestions where we might want to go hunt?

Thanks for your info. We were just wondering. Used to live in Houston many years ago and go to Galveston often. Now have detectors and hope to be able to go there or other places on Texas coast. We look forward to your posts just to see how you are doing there. HH

What area are you coming to ?
Vero Beach has some good beaches. I'm in Sebastian.
Do you have access to Google Earth? I can send you some KML files.
Let me know what your plans are.
