when the wind direction changes. According to the news, that may be wed. or thurs. What's it look like over there and is anyone interested in joining up to hit the beaches for a day?

two of us were just down there a week ago. alot of new sand was added and you won't find anything unless a storm comes in.if you go stop in the mccarty museum. it's small but interesting.we also found out you are allowed to detect the beach ,but you are not allowed in the water.the fisher group has all the water rights for about 12 miles dow the beach, and you can be arrested if caught detecting inthe water.(per the museum).hope this helps.

I've been to the McLarty Museum several times and I am very familiar with the Fisher claims and that the water is off limits. What you may not know is that we've had a nor'easter tearing up that area of beaches for about a week now. I am sure that some of that soft sand you encountered is gone by now. The wind direction should change by Thurs. or Fri. so it should be calm enough to get a detector on the beach by then. The last pics I saw had breakers all the way up to the sand dunes which is a Good sign for us. Still looking for anyone that may want to meet me over there.

Thanks,
therick

I would but being in Ca...long trip.... i been to that beach though and if the sand is gone..that could be a real cob winner!

South of the Sebastian Inlet got tore up good. Disney Vero Beach resort at Wabasso lost the lower section of steps to erosion Here in Melbourne, we didn't lose hardly any sand, and just north of here got hammered hard too. When ya coming in? I'm going hunting Saturday morning. Wabasso tides are as follows:

Day High Tide Height Sunrise Moon Time % Moon
/Low Time Feet Sunset Visible

Sa 6 Low 2:40 AM 0.4 7:17 AM Rise 3:08 AM 24
6 High 8:04 AM 0.5 7:03 PM Set 4:41 PM
6 Low 3:05 PM 0.3
6 High 8:39 PM 0.5
