Treasure Coast Florida Help?

jcooking

New member
We are going to Vero Beach to visit some family and I hope to do some beach metal detecting while there. I was hoping that someone would be able to give me any help on beach techniques or places to visit in the general area. I don't have a water machine, so will need to stay dry unfortunately. Thanks in advance for any help that anyone can give, good luck and HH!

Give this site a look. Its updated almost daily and focuses on the treasure coast. HH.

It is good that you do not have a water machine because you are not allowed to hunt the water on the Treasure Coast. There are admiralty laws in effect there due to the 1715 fleet and you would get in trouble if you went into the water with a detector. You can however, hunt the entire beach to the waterline to your hearts content.

You can hunt in the water on east coast of Florida everywhere. What Neptune doesn't know is that Florida has passed a new Law that says no more leases with in 1500 yards from the beach. I hunt all over from Jacksonville to Key West in the water and neverhave had any problem.
