Treasure Coast FL.ATX anyone using this MD?

I wondering if I will have to much chatter with the MD on the Treasure Coast. Indian River 1715 Fleet shoreline area.
I would appreciate knowing if it will handle the iron on the beach or just dig everything.

I haven't used it in that exact area but have used mine around Daytona beach. There seems to be a lot of iron on those beaches-bottle caps, nails, bolts, fish hooks. It finds them all really well. :clapping: I find that most times the iron tone doesn't work like it did on my AT Pro. I do notice the signal is not quite as sharp sometimes on those items as it is on a coin but I am still not trusting that so I just dig everything unless I get a firm iron tone sound. As I get more familiar with the tones I may be able to dig less on those items but it is not something I have learned yet, or if it can be learned as there may not be enough difference for me to hear.

In short, unless you get the firm iron tone you are stuck with digging it. Such is the PI. I will say, while it's a bit frustrating, I do feel I am finding more targets with the ATX than I did with the Pro in the salt water. The odds of striking it rich are getting in my favor.

All that treasure is long gone, I was with my uncle in the 60's when he found it... Seriously.... I got started detecting in the 60's hunting with my uncle in that area, he did find a lot of treasure's and it was a great time for me. I'm sure there is lots left to be found, and I'd love to hunt there again. I'm sure its not the deserted beach it was in the 60's and I remember driving for miles and not a sign of people anywhere. Good Luck!

I don't have a atx yet but if you are going to detect the 1715 fleet beaches you need to dig every signal or you may miss out on some nice artifacts. Good luck to you.
