Treasure Ace 300

Hey Guys,

First off let me say some of you really have some great finds..Now on to my question...Anyone have any experience with the Ace 300???? Picked one up at a garage sale, in the box with Manual for 30 dollars...Have used the unit several times, and it seems to work well...I live on the Gulf Coast of Texas, so there don't seem to be as many old sites in my area as some of you guys up North...Thanks for any opinions.........Tom Shaw

The Treasure Ace 300 is an entry level detector, with a minimum set of bells and whistles. It is basically a turn on and go detector with a discrimination mode. The depth is marginal, but 90% of the coins are in the top 4-5 inches, which this machine should find. Click on the link below for a field test on the ACE 300.

Well thanks for the info....Ive got a couple of other detectors, a Bounty Hunter top of the line (If there is such a thing) and a Garrett Master Hunter CXII I think, with a Depth multiplier, that I never use.....My all time favorite was my old faithful White 5500 D Series 2, which got stolen out of my car.....Anyway once again, Thank you, Tom Shaw

Yeah the 300 ( now the Predator III at Kellyco ) was one of a series of entry level detectors put out by Garrett some years ago and I field tested the 300. It is a basic machine with no frills or bells and whistles. It will find coins but the depth isn't all that great but as John stated most coins ain't buried halfway to China. As I recall the pinpointing is a little tricky and will require a bit of practice.
