Trashy Park Program

Here is my Trashy Park program that is killing silvers and Indians in iron infested parks.
I have also found that running the GAIN to 30 will improve depth with these settings. Dont worry
about all the dicrimination, even when the machine nulls, good targets will scream.

Have Fun.

Thanks for the setting. Going to give it a try this week. I have just the place!

Is this the Etrac or CTX pattern?

CTX 3030

Thank you! I imported it into "My Modes" folder in Xchange2.

I don't understand this .MLF file. What is it? And how do I get it on to my xchange2 program or ctx?
thanks,
Les

Click on the link in GateKeeper's post. You should have some options then: Open, Save, or Save As. Choose Save As. That should open a screen where you can save the file onto your computer into whatever folder you've setup for downloading shared files. But, you'll need to add the .mlf after the file name. So it'll look like: TrashyPark.mlf. After you download it, then open Exchange 2 and click on the File tab. You should see a little icon on the top banner that says "Import a MineLab file". Click that icon and then go to your downloads folder on your computer and select the TrashPark.mlf file you downloaded. When I did that, the compressed file dumped two files into my Exchange 2 program, one named Trashy Park and one named Parks and Yards. Once you have them in the Exchange2 file folder, you'll need to select them and drag them into your personal folder. Then you can edit them if you want to. When you're done you can connect your CTX and export the files to the detector as normal.

I got itto now. Thanks for the help. That damn little icon. It isn't labeled or nothing.

Is it possible to open this file from your post? If so, how do you do that? Or, does this file have to be put into the Exchange2 program before it can be view?

Thanks Fellas,
Also, what sensitivity auto/man-to which degree? gb on or off? I've been doing just fine with a combined similar to yours. Never tried cranking up the gain though. I'm on the fence about the GB and the auto sensitivity. If you use Manual sensitivity do you want to use Ground balancing? What about in Auto, do you want to use ground balancing? I wish minelab made soft-cover books like Garrett does for the manual. Way easier to read and carry with you to try new things at a site. Or, just to sit on the crapper and read, lol. It really is a shame to pay that much for a detector and they can't even give you a soft-cover manual.

If your new to the CTX, just run it in auto as high as you can without losing stability. I myself run in Auto +3 with no problems. Everyone's soil matrix is different, that's why Digger and myself have always said to learn your machine and listen to what your CTX is telling you.

As far as GB, you really should not have to use it unless your suggested sensitivity runs lower than 12. But even before I would GB, I would try Ground/Coin or even High Trash. Allow the CTX to do what it was designed to do, constantly decipher the soil and automatically adjust for you.

Is it possible for you to put up a screen shot to see what the program looks like?
Thanks in advance.

On the Xchange2 screen there is a 2 way arrow icon. That's the transfer button. You have to download the .mlf files and then click on that button, highlight the downloaded .mlf file and it will transfer it to your machine. It has to be imported from within Xchange2. It can't be dragged in.

Got a screen shot for Mac users? Thanks!

Here's the :minelab: Approved Instructional Video showing how to make the Trashy Park Program

Trashy Park Video

On your Trashy Park Pattern, I'd make the first sound bin from 1 to the end of your nickel "zone" nickels tone so that you don't waste a bin in a discriminated area.

Gatekeeper,
Thanks for the great pattern. On using it for the first time, I found two Indians, two wheats and a 10K class ring. I did change the bins to suite my particular audio preferences.
