Trashy gravel gives up another silver at 7" with iffy 12-39 ID

Went back to the gravel spot I found the quarters at recently, and decided to dig all the deep and iffy targets. Glad I did. Cleaned out some iron, some Wheats, and low and behold I get a 12-39 target at 7" in Ferrous Coin which turns out to be a 1946 Rosie. Dig those deep iffy targets even if they barely repeat!

Those sound pretty loud and clear.

The Wheats were solid, the dime was not. It only repeated in one direction, and jumped all over the place. 12-39's usually aren't silver, at least not in the ground I've been hunting in. There's so many hot rocks in that ground I kept getting a lot of 12-41's.

Iron, hot soil, etc can average down a targets true conductive readings.

It's probably the worst soil I've ever found silver in. The only thing I used as a guide was the depth indicator. Soon as I started to see the iffy signals hit at 5" and below, I dug'em. That seems to be the magic depth at this location. ost of the stuff 4" and shallower are almsot always clad, so I cherry-pick only the best signals at those depths.

Sigh...... Right now I would need an excavator to get into the ground here in the Mid Hudson Valley

That is exactly why I keep that high conductive bin at 39-50. Thanks for posting. I enjoy hearing the sounds before the dig.

WTG Ron!!

I found if I dont dig iffy signals I dont find anything good! LOL!

I have been digging those iff targets myself with the 6" on and am pulling up a lot of good targets in gravel.

Ronfin, i cant believe you laid the Youtube arrow on top of your CTX screen... Aren't you concerned about scratching? ;-)
