Hi I have a couple of questions about the
explore. I had an explorer for about three
month's and have been having alot of fun with
it. I'd like to no what kind of settings you more
experanced user's use in heavy trash. I'v tried
iorn mask -10 but always seem to go back to the
smart screen as I seem to like it better. Do you
think I could be missing alot of stuff by doing
this. Also I always use coductive is ferrous
better in the trash. I heard audio 1 is good
in trash but find it kind of anoying is it
worth getting used to. I use fast and deep both
on most the time should I just use fast when
I'm in heavy trash. Sorry for asking so many
questions but this detector shure has alot of
optoins.
Thanks
Bill

Bill,
If real trashy I will use on of my patterns I have saved which is the top opened up with the large currior in the edit mode all the way to maybe a 1/4 inch of the top left, then use the learn mode and learn the nickle with the medium currsior. This will get me most all the coins, but will eliminate the trash and some of the gold ring too which is unavoidable. If the area is full of rusty nails than i run the ferrous tones, if pulltabs and such then condutivity works the best.
With this I run the sensitivity in manual in most cases, but if real trashy I may have to lower it to around 15 and use semi auto as the higher setting will null out a good target with the junk it sees. Normal audio seem to be the best to use and go slow and listen to the tones of a good target.
