Tradition tells of a chime that changed the world on July 8, 1776, with the Liberty Bell ringing out .......

from the tower of Independence Hall summoning the citizens of Philadelphia to hear the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence by Colonel John Nixon, now The City of Brotherly Love can put their worlds series trophy right next to the bell, hahaha!

Sorry therick, I couldn't help myself being a national league kinda guy unless those damn Yanks, Red Sox or Tiger's are in it and not playing against my Dodger's ;)

But I'm happy for the Phils :clapping: but also the Rays, they just came up short in this 5 game series

You know what they say, we'll get'um next year

But I have to be a gracious loser and congratulate the Phillies. They won "mostly" fair and square.
Our bats went cold and our speed was stymied because we couldn't get anyone on base. The good part is that we are very young and should be able to compete for several years at this level. It's kind of like the Florida Gators..... when you're good and in the hunt year after year, talent will find you. who knows who may show up on the roster when you can prove that you're a winner. See ya next year.

will they stay together long enough in a small market to win it all and they can or will they do what most do, sign with somebody else for the big money, I hope not but history says I'm wrong. As soon as those young player's become free agents they will fly the coop and be spread all over baseball for the money and I don't blame them, they won't be able to become the 27 Yanks because baseball can't stop them like they did the 27 Yanks.

I have done everything in baseball that one could do in the last 54 years starting at 9 years old and I have seen my game go from the glory of winning with my Brooklyn Dodger's to the pill popping Barry Bonds, I hate it but I know in the end my game will always come out on top because it is baseball and baseball can't be changed, just the players, thanks rick, it was fun
