Trading detectors

Well, I hate to say it but I'm trading my GTI-1500 for a Matrix M6 with stock coil and 6x9DD coil. After using White's for so many years it is just hard to get away from the VDI numbers. I guess it just all boils down to which detector you are most comfortable with and what you are used to.

You gave it a shot.. I was the other way around. I used Whites for almost 20 years. Then I bought a notch discrimination detector and like them better for coin and jewelry. But in the end we are all detectorists. So good luck with your new detector!

Personally I too like the VID numbers, even
if they are not always correct.
I like Whites and would like to see them come
out with a configuration on the order of the F2, F4 or T2
without stealing the competitions technology. Heck, who would
want to steal it anyway. Whites has the capability of doing
WAY better than the competition....but so does Garrett
in my opinion.

I found out the hard way that VDI,etc. is only a tool to give an approximation to help in decision making-and a way to make life a little bit easier in impossible areas.;)
