Gregg,my name is kevin,i,m new to the forum,I quess about two weeks ago I had a Explorer SE for sale on the forum.The next day when I got out of bed was over welmed by how many people wanted the SE.Instead of going in order I just started hitting on all of the names and started reading the list of people who wanted the metal detector.I have a freind who has been on the forum longer than me and told me I should have went in order.I did not know that dealers were on the forums also I,m sorry if I hurt your feelings i,ll try and be more carefull next time.If had it to do all over I would have sold it to you I feel terrible and i dont know what else to say please forgive i,m only human I make mistakes and it,s hard living in this would.I just want to get along with evryone on this forum.I live in Cleveland OH......
Kevin the sponsor/dealer should have known better.... it was very upsetting thinking we had a deal and a dealer moving in and buying... I have probably got the sponsors more buyers and now I see sellers too..that they turn a fast buck on... then they know.... I have had over 20 register here after meeting on other forums.... after what happened to me and especially because it was a dealer/sponsor... I can no longer recommend this forum. I will continue to post but still feel it was not the right thing to do. I see other caring forum members already giving you things for free...and the advice is priceless here. I understand dealers want to make money...but that was not the right way to do it...
I have learned there are a lot of great people in this hobby...after what happened and I had watched for a deal like you posted for a long time....several forum members contacted me and also decided they will no longer do business with this individual.... I immediately received good offers from two members... and worked out a deal...The person I bought from Roy (GA) sent the detector out last Tuesday without even giving me his home address to send the check... I did get the check out the next day and he already received payment...Hopefully this is over with...now that I have a se and a dfx...I have a lot of learning to do...good luck and enjoy your dfx....

When you buy a bushel of apples, there is bound to be a bad one in there too Gregg. Kevin made a heart felt apology for his in-experience of the forum and bad judgement, and the dealer probably thinks he did nothing intentionally wrong. I think you would be a better man by accepting his apology and moving on with life. If you only got your feelings hurt and lost $50 bucks with this deal, I'd say this was a cheap life lesson. Findmall, as a whole, is a great group of honest people with much knowledge to share and a willingness to help others as you have found out. Forgive, forget and live life to the fullest. Don't sweat the small stuff...........and just about everything in life is the small stuff.

Thank you...I think it is going to be hard being the one that is asking the questions...but I know there are some that are masters with the SE and I am sure they will help. I have received some great e-mails, and messages from Bryce, NH Bob and even on another forum Captain SE offering help,. What more could I ask for....

FACT!!! That is why most dealers do not do Trades...Am I 100% correct all the time? Not at all and the day I think I am so...then I will soon be out of business. When I do make a mistake...I will analyze it and try to learn from the mistake.
FACT!!! I (we all do) also judge people by their answers, replies, looks and posts. Is it wrong??? probably, but we all do it..Just like you do.. FACT!!!! I also decide if I want to do business with that person in the future...just like you do...BUT!!!! Since there are far less Dealers to choose from and work with, it is wise to keep Dealers on the good side.

Then that would look like I was trying to cover my tracks.. The truth is Gregg...I was not worried about covering any tracks because I never did anything wrong in the 1st place.
Remember the deal Kevin Posted. You replied on the forum, I sent PM?? Who was 1st?? I don't know. I do know this. FACT!!!When I finally spoke with him on the phone that evening, the detector was still FOR SALE!!!. So I bought it...Why does that make me the bad guy???
