Tracker iv

I just got my first metal detector a Bounty Hunter Tracker iv last Thursday. Only paid 135 USD got it shipped to Guyana South America.

I was so impressed when I opened it and tried it out .

First thing i found was a n East Caribbean quarter Ill keep that as a souvenir, then i found some junk the next day. Then yesterday, I got a good low hit under a window in the yard and dug up a heavy piece of metal about an inch long. When I cleaned it off it looks very much like gold, I figured it must be an old earring or pendent i am not sure I've posted a picture of it don't know if anyone can help me identify it!

I must say, the bounty Hunter tracker is an amazing machine for that kind of detecting, the tones are clear and the settings are foolproof I am surprised it cost so little!
I am looking forward to my new hobby of metal detecting with my beloved Tracker iv.

That is way cool. I think Bounty Hunter offers the best value for the $.

A jeweler or pawn shop can do the acid test on the piece you suspect to be gold.

Nice going. You sure get your moneys worth and then some
with the Tracker IV. Never know what you might turn up next.
The Tracker IV wont break your wallet or your arm.

I think that is a part of a winding key for a wind up clock, or could be for a jewelery music box. I have restored many antique wall clocks and have used a key similar to that, it may be brass or steel with gold plating. Welcome to the family of BH detectors. Enjoy!

It could also be part of a window crank handle. I had a kitchen window that had a similar piece if metal inside the plastic handle that was used to crank open the window.
