Tracker IV

New member
I just bought a tracker IV and have found a few things, but I would like to know how to pinpoint so I don't open too big of a hole. I had a whites about 30 years ago and a Garret before that and could pin it better. Got permission to hunt in (1800's) yards, but don't want to plow the yards up.

Practice, practice, practice. Can try to get a large piece of cardboard and tape a coin on reverse side (usually had a kid taped it on in different areas so I had no idea where it was) when you can get within an inch or hit the coin on the push through with your probe consistently you know you'll be ready for those yards. Do recommend the probe method on shallow targets to minimize any damage. You should expect brown spots to appear no matter how careful you are with plug method. If they water a lot it will help with this but will probably still see some. Happy hunting's and I hope the good finds are plentiful!:detecting:

Thought I would repost these yet again...Admin must be loving me with these large files...lol...HOW TO "X" your target....
