hey all just wondering if any one here has experienced the same problem im having with my tracker 4 , it will no longer alert on qaurters nickels or dimes but will do pennies okthe settings im using are the same as when i first started using the tracker and it alwayes worked. ive onley used it a total of 5 hours , thoght maybey the batts. were weak so i put in brand new ones and its still not working, unless i set the detector to the all metal setting. thats the onley way it will alert on qaurters nickels and dimes.? any suggestions would be appreciated.... thank you in advance... scott

It should alert on quarters for sure no matter what setting. I know nickels sometimes wont come up unless ur in all metal mode. if it keeps happening send it back 5yr warranty.

Try my suggestions below, if there is no change send it back ASAP, that is a major problem and needs to be rectified immediatly! You should be able to have the sens almost off and still hear the coins. The best settings for the T4 are as follows, Sens on 3 to 4 oclock, toggle on Tone disc and the Disc set at lowest setting possible, try this if it still does'nt work send it back immediatly. Definitely something wrong if you use nuggets advice and still no signal...sounds like a bad circuit board...a resistor or cap fried, or you have a bad ground connection someplace. Almost sounds like the detector is notching or discriminating the items out on it's own....Send it back if it still occurs...If you have had it under 30 days and still have the receipt, take it back where you got it from and get a replacement, otherwise, go to:

and look for the link there to contact the company.
