Kneelever, it would help if you posted a picture of the model of the Whites that you a have!! Some of their models are very vintage and I doubt if Whites would carry any of the spare parts. Radio Shack may carry some of the battery holders??!!...................For the meter............you may try contacting www.brokendetector.com The owner is Keith Wills and he a carries a lot of vintage parts and repair type items!.............Good Luck.............HH.............................Joe
