Tough hunt today

DFX-Gregg

Well-known member
took 4 hours to come up with 83 coins at a forest preserve...and that included a coin spill of 32 pennies and 15 other coins around one tree. Also a 56 wheatie and a friendship pendant.

Hi Greg..Wondered where you have been...Looks like you worked hard today
Were they deep, look like it from the picture.

greg , dont feel bad i was out yesterday and only found 8 cents boy was i bummed i will stay away from that park they put pavment in all the high trafic eareas and what little was left i think was hunted mega pull tabs

Yes except for the 47 coins that came from around the tree at the end of hunt...Most of the coins were coming in between 4 and 6.5 so I was expecting something good. Did not happen...the wheatie was all encrusted so I am thinking old...no a 56 after using a toothbrush to clean it. Odd being in the forest preserves a lot of the coins deep but nothing really good. Glad i got another wheatie though... I was very close to leaving after about 3 hours with the 36 coins..would have been no pic. The other day i had only 25 so no pic...

most of the parks I hunt offer a tot lot, at least 4 baseball fields with sidelines, a soccer field or 2....as well as walkways...they usually all produce a lot of clad and replenish themselves. With the forest preserves I was not expecting a lot of coins and got the feeling the pennies over 60 of them were more like litter!
