Tough hunt at old house

I found these goodies at a house built in 1909 yesterday. The coin is a 1897 Indian head cent and the bracelet is copper or brass. The ground was near perfect and minerals were not a problem. Ran the V3i at 12-85 and 75 with rec delay at 45. There just were not many finds at all, only a few clads and newer pennys, no wheats and no silver. The Indian and the bracelet were the best finds. I'm not really complaining, just surprised
that we didn't find more quality coins. We plan to return in a couple of weeks. The place is huge, about 1.5 acres. The indian was about where I expected it should be, 4 or 5 feet from the sidewalk in the front yard.
Will take a full battery of coils next time, although I didn't feel that we were hurting for depth. Maybe we'll find a hot spot.

Howdy Jalon--

That Indian Head Cent looks good, congratulations! You just never know about a site. I've hunted sites that I drooled over with anticipation of digging Barbers and Seated coins only to dig a few clad dimes and memorials. Then there are the sites that appear to be ho-hum sites that turn out to be very productive, yielding several silver coins and relics. The fact that you dug that nice Indian tells me that your site has plenty of potential. I hope that you find that hot spot! Best of luck and...

Happy Hunting!
