Tough first day but tomorrow may be different.

The detector is heavy, the rod is one inch to short, that had me hunched over. I'm a lefty and the pinpoint button was difficult to use. The screen was hard to see and the iron patch I hunted produced many false signals with only a pull tab to show for my efforts. I used the stock relic program. Tomorrow some tweaks will be necessary. Rough first day.

-get a bungee chord hanger for the weight
- wear flat soled shoes
- put your thumb ON the lower right section of the screne when using the PP button for better positioning
-use long tones to help ID between falses and
real targets
-have more fun

Grouser,

Can you please elaborate on this point:

-use long tones to help ID between falses and real targets

I've mentioned in other threads having some falsing where junk iron shows up concurrently with a 12.41 (or thereabouts) signal. I'm wondering if you might have a good way of possibly solving this issue.

Jon

I find the option of long tones just seperates the good targets from the junk "chirps" ,,,,,, I thought I was hitting the PP button the first time I ran the coil over a coin,,, the long tone just jumped out that hard to me !!! Go into your menues and change the tone to long,,,,,, it will take a bit to get used to it, especially PP'ing ( I hated it at first) but you will grow to like it,,,, or not LOL
