[size=medium]Finally got my Wader to the beach at the ocean. There were wall to wall people there. It was tough detecting anywhere. Life guards were keeping people close to shore because of rip currents. People had their chairs down to the water line.
Dry sanding wasn't much better as I felt like a rat going through a maze having to weave in and out of so many people. There was just no room. Usually this beach as tons of space where people play ball, frizby and the such. The beach was so full even those people couldn't have too much fun.
Didn't find a lot, only got $.88 in change and an assorted variety of junk. It's rough when there are so many on the beach. I think it's better to wait until about 4:00 in the afternoon. That's when they start to leave for home.
As I was detecting and got a signal, I sifted it in my scoop. At the same time I heard someone say; "Hey, that's mine." I looked in my scoop to see what was there and then said; "Did you really lose this? Because if you did you can have it." He said jokeingly; "No I didn't". Then I told him; "If you want it you can have it. I've got plenty of these." I took it out of the scoop and handed him the top to a beer bottle. He then said; "I'd rather have the bottom part of this cap." We both had a good chuckle.
These are the kind of people that I don't mind detecting around as they have a pretty good idea of what you are doing.
Unlike a few teenagers that walked by and one said; "Beep, Beep". Then another said; "Does that go down 100 feet?". With that kind of ignorance I just kept on walking and enjoying myself.
All in all it was still a great day at the beach.
Happy Hunting !!!
