went to an old house today and didn't do well only old coin was a 46d penny. So I went up the street and hit the play ground and I found this 10k kids bracelet in the wood chips it came in a solid 40. It wasn't pinging around so i dug it ,well I used my foot and kicked the chips LOL and it popped right up out Happy Hunting to all

Fantastic find, Stryker47. I've never found anything but clad and junk jewelry in tot lots. Congratulations.

One of my better rings came out of a school tot lot.
It was a platinum band, and massive - no doubt a mans.

I left a message with the school office, but nothing came of it. After a month, I sent it to the buyer and got well over $300.
$326 sticks in my mind.

Most of the time, tot lots offer both mental, contemplative time and get some swinging in.
I always have a few such lots on my coin shooting routes.

Now and then, however, something grand comes out of them.

Nice work Stryker! You figure that solid center part hit with the 40 signal? Very great find!:clapping:
Mud

That's what I figure mud because it didn't jump it was solid that's why I looked, my other bracelets came in totally different and sort of broken, I think some one walked over it thinking it was foil . That whole playground and around the basketball court was clean . I didn't even get a penny off of it, Only thing I found beside the bracelet was a quarter tucked in at the edge of a sidewalk .

That's a great lesson in perseverance! Interesting that 10K was coming up around 40, but they alloy gold with various metals, so maybe they used some nickel or zinc instead of the usual copper & silver? They even use aluminum when making spangold. Congrats on an excellent find!
