Tot lot finds This AM ...

Its already hot and humid I got to the lot
at 730... found 57 cents ANOTHER golf ball
underneath bark at 2 inches next to a penny

and this item ..I dont know if you can read it it says
Duquesne Incline Pittsburgh Pa
The incline is 2 cable cars that run up and down
Mt Washington in town ..
whats interesting is that the back side has In God
We Trust BARELY visible and the date 1996 ... i think
its made from a penny ..im goona call the incline folks
and see if they made such stuff or if it came from a local
amusement park

Rangers Lead The Way
Interesting find. I myself, have moved away from tot lots since I have pretty much hunted them out in my area. I did find about $100 in clad in tot lots over the past 8 months. I now concentrate on parks, ball fields, etc. It is much more difficult because the spaces are far larger than tot lots but there is more of a chance to find some old stuff, and silver which is my goal. I find that patience and discipline (hunting in a pattern) really pays off.

I called the Incline its a combo of 2 quarters and a penny
They have 2 machines that mash em together Kinda Neat

Congrats Ron! Does the token say anything about the "Society for the Preservation of the Duquesne Incline"? Look towards the bottom of this page, click the link that says you can "view close-up of the incline token".

One on the 3rd page there's one listed, pic takes you to a Feebay link (which for some reason has a large pop-up blocking the token...it's listed (starting bid) at $1 with 10 days left on auction, so you might search Feebay & keep an eye on the auction.
