Where ever there was people at, like schools, ballfields, parks, swimming holes, old race tracks, old picnic grounds and even peoples yards and boulevards, but be careful digging. On private yards you must have permission and most boulevards are city property and some home owners think they own it, so if ask to leave we do. If you want more area just go to the library and do some research of any old town and newspapers as you will see where many people had celebrations years ago as they are always good spot as like I say where ever there was people they would lose something and you just got to find it.

my favorite is old homesites. especially around the big oak trees. went out for 30 minutes this evening and found 12 wheaties in the same hole. dug wheaties till dark. will go back tomorrow and maybe find some silver.

I may be moving up to the Raleigh area next month.

1) Ghost Towns
2) Old Amusement park areas
3) My neighbors yards when they are not at home (just kidding)

Last month, I found 200+ coins in a "worked out park". Like someone said "Unless you scrape off the top 12" and sift every shovel full, a place is never worked out."

No place is ever worked out... if there ws stuff... there is still stuff. They were building a church just north on Kennesaw mtn. There were folks all over it, a club hunted it. This went on for weeks befroe I found out about it. I got there after everyone else was no longer interested. I found a pocket full of minnies and a zinc time fuse adapter for a 20# Parrot shell at about 2" deep...
Yeah, I love those "hunted out" spots!! If you're a good hunter you will alway's find stuff at those places.

Other than that, I like old, old home sites and campsites but anywhere is good if i'm hunting, i'm happy.
