Top left signals

I had one of those signals today, that has been debated on this forum recently.
I use conductive sounds when I search!
I received a high sounding tone but it had that mellow sweetness that says DIG ME. When checking the screen, the crosshair was sticking to the upper left. I ran the coil over the target a number of times but it stuck to the high left, I shifted attack angle and tried again, same thing.
I dug the target because of the audio and on retrieval it turned out to be an iron hinge with a broken copper alloy blade/handle.
So if the tone is right don't worry where the crosshair is.

Nick, I use conductive and have found that Iron can register In various places. You have also got the unwelcome added bonus of various Iron tones. Digging 2 way solids has helped reduce this for me, although on quiet sites I always dig everything. Each trip I always dig some convincing signals that turns out to be Iron.
