Top 2 handheld Pinpointers?

I have an inexpensive pinpointer (the one from BH) and I want to get a better one. I'm not up for an expensive unit like the DX-1, so what's the considered opinion on handhelds and what kind of range do the better ones have?

I wouldn't know how to answer your question well, but just to throw in a bit, I use a pinpointer, when a situation calls for it. I have the Sun Ray probe on a couple machines, but for the machines that don't, I have 7 pinpointers. Two are of the same model, so really 6 models. I found a working unit while out detecting, so someone out there lost one. I find all work to one degree or another so personal preference for the type of hunting is a factor. There are other units to consider, and if you have a local dealer that has a variety, or a local club, then options can be available to actually test the unit's.
Anyway, instead of covering them all, I'll give a little on a few portable pinpointers. I believe the Vibra-Probe offers a newer unit now.

Pocket Uni-Probe: This unit has depth. Cost, but the depth is very good. Audio with adjustable frequency and threshold.
Vibra-Probe 560: Waterproof with automatic on/off by tilting the unit up. Target needs to be close to tip to signal/vibrate. Durable.
Treasure Mate: Sensitive at the tip. Adjustable Ground Balance and Tune knobs. Tone or vibrate with target close to tip.
Just to show somewhat of a size comparison:

Right now I have a vibra-probe and an upper level TinyTech. The tiny tech is slightly more sensitive and can alternate between 'beep' and vibrate.

The vibra-probe is the one I usually take... more ergonomic and no switches or dials to get knocked out of setting.

For relics, the tiny tech might make a better choice if there's alot of surface foil where you're hunting (still modern activity there) as it seems more sensitive to foil than the vibra. That foil can drive you crazy as it gives you a diggable signal, and it's usually right on the surface... if my probe sounds off on a surface target, most of the time it's foil.

I have the vibra- probe 560 and 570 that I use for water hunting the 570 has good range at 3 inches. For land I have 3 uniprobe headsets and 1 pocket unit that I'm going to make into a water unit. Dan
