Tool Belt Carries It All............

I have previously used a fishing-sort-of vest for some detecting gear in addition to a tool belt. But now I am also carrying a small folding camp stool and the whole deal had become unmanageable.

Here is slightly modified double pouch tool belt. It holds my pinpointer, Lesche tool, EZ-Dig-R, Brass probe, Plastic scoop, Swiss Army knife, Swingy-Thingy, Plus phone/camera.GPS as needed.

The tool holster is held up by strong suspenders and is very comfortable to carry. In my Left hand I carry a longer handled digging tool or spade. The stool can be easily carried in that same hand or by it's own carrying strap.

Here is the camp stool. It's from REI and costs about $15

I put in a cold pak, sandwich, couple cans of water, fruit, crackers etc. I can walk several miles with it as it is so light. Then when it's time for lunch or a break it acts as a seat. Keeps my bottom off of wet sand or tick infested ground cover. Been using the same one since ~80, and it has held up fine even though I am a little heavier.:surrender: Oh heck, let's be honest, I'm now convinced it would hold up a '56 Buick.

They don't make 'em like they used to. That's a good Coleman cooler. My trick is to get a buddy carry the beer in HIS stuff.

I was thinking of getting one of those that they had a lowes, it was camo and had just enough pouches to hold my stuff, but not to much to be too bulky... now that I see your equip in one I may try it...the one im using now is a military surplus gas mask case that is waterproof. it's ok and keeps my stuff clean but it doesn't have a waist strap just a shoulder strap and I run it around my waist and clip it.. after about 3 hrs of mding it starts to cut into my waist....so I think your idea will be better.
