You are hitting coins. Nice to find Buffalo nickels. You never know.....the next place you hunt, those quarters and dimes might be silver and the pennies may be wheats or even a few IH cents. You may want to check out that piece of green copper a little more closely. It might just be a well worn old copper cent. Good start! HH Randy

Thanks Guys...
You were right about the copper disc..It's a very old teens something Wheat penny

No.. it was a almost unreadable Wheat cent teen something all I can make out is 191 and just barely under the magnifier..It's worn almost all the way down and I can just make out the Wheat on reverse..

UPDATE: Took Xterra 70 back to same park.
Just returned with two(2) Mercury dimes
Old Green Wheat cents ( ALL 1920's)
I just returned from same park as on this post the other day.
Upped the sesitivity-22
ground track on, after auto noise elimination, auto ground balanced.
I hunted slower and swept over each pattern. I noticed on new pennies
it hit 28 32 and locked on 32....dug several newer zinc type. Then I hit copper wheats. The audio had more of a buzz in it and was not as dull.
When I hit the Silver dimes it sounded more like a Buzz than a beep.It
locked on 38 each time no jumping around 4 arrows deep. Both times a pulltab the round type was buried with or near the Silver.I then hit a target that read 6..never did find the object. The beep was back to the normal sound..no buzz like noise. Is this normal on copper and Silver more a buzz than a beep?????

I have noticed when I can not find the target, it is usually in the side of the hole standing on edge. Kind of strange it does that when pinpointing but the depth seems to be close however, the pinpoint is off a bit. HH and congrats on the silver, Mike

Thank you Mike..appreciate it.
