and purchased a X-Terra 505 --- after receiving some great advice from Digger and also from Mark in SE Iowa, I decided to add the 505 to my arsenal. Been using a Fisher Coin$trike for the last (5) years and also a Fisher ID-Edge as a backup (plus the better half uses it once in awhile).

Now the hard part: having to wait for all this darn snow to melt and for spring to arrive so I can test this little baby out........................

I'm sure I will have some more questions for the more experienced Minelab users come spring --- also, I have gathered quite a bit of information from the FAQ section and reading all the great previous posts on this forum.

Hey that's great Jim, I'm glad to hear that you got an x505 and I'm sure that you'll like it.

After the first I'm going to be up at my folks place for about a week and maybe we can get together an talk about the x505. I'll send you a PM when I know for sure when I'm going to be up that way.
 
Hey Mark, that would be great and I look forward to meeting you and picking your brain a little about the 505 --- I looked for some used X-terras and for what some of them were bringing, I decided I might as well get a new one and have the warranty to boot!

I just got thinkin, I'm not to sure if I'm happy about you getting the X505. If I ever move back up your way I won't be about to find anything because you'll have all of the old coins cleaned out of the good places to hunt, LOL J/K
 
If the 505 is anything like the X50 I had it will serve you well!!!!..................MO
 
Well, it's all your fault...................you inspired me with all your great finds and success with the 505!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Seriously, I don't think anyone could clean out all the good ole coins, but it sure sounds good!

lol....sometimes I think that too, I dont everyone to have minelabs or there will be nothing left to find!
