well after reading many posts on how happy beach hunter , rnr, & others are with the bhid i went & found me a very nice used 1 with the thin 9.1/2 head..
i took it out for a run today as soon as ups arrived & i have to say im pleasantly suprised

the second target i found was a silver ring & then it started gobbeling up nickles in a hard worked area...in very hot ground >> im in arizona<<<
i did have to tweek the ground setting a bit in discriminate but the intital results were dam good. notice the small bead. its an ez machine to turn on & go..
tomorrow its off to the river to see if it can cut the mustard.. many other high dollar units have failed there..
rusty bottle caps everywhere & lots of black sand..
i was impressed with the iron discrimination on the bhid it was spot on.. any red its iron just like beachunter said thanks for all the imput..
ill post the river test results tomorrow
good hunting all
