Took the MXT PRO tot lotting today

kickback

I have felt guilty about not using my MXT PRO since I got the V3i.I put the 6X10 coil on the PRO and headed out.I found a little over $4.00 in clad,65 zinc pennies were part of the total.I also found 2 small pieces of sterling silver jewelry.A small Peace Sign charm and a small Star charm.I may have had my best day ever on Nickels,21.Only 2 quarters. The rain chased me off. That's good as I'm now crippled up from digging stuff.I dug a lot of foil and pulltabs looking for gold.No gold today.I set the discrimination on 2,gain on +1 and dug everything above iron.
The MXT PRO is a joy to hunt with, easy to setup, very sensitive and deep, deep, deep. For me there are some features/advantages with the V3i but the PRO sticks with it in the finds department. The PRO is sensitive to those small jewelry pieces.I dug nickels with VDI's from 16 to 22 today with most being18,19,20.

[size=large]since i started, back in May 2010 i've had a hard time finding nickels. i just got my MXT PRO and the darn things are every where.this machine really finds nickels. just like you said. easy to set up and operate. it's even fun.

On the very first hunt with my MXT Pro the first two signals dug were nickels . . . in the dirt . . . all the MXT's love em. I like nickels too.

My MXT pro seems to love all pocket change, doesn't matter what coin it is, it sounds off like a champ. It also likes to sound off like that for small fishing lead weights!

Way to go! Very good amount of items and I can't agree more with you about the MXT. I love mine and it's a simple turn on and go and go it does. Deep when you want it and extremely sensitive for those tiny small items. HH and thanks for posting, Nancy

I don't find many nickels. I find a lot of watch batteries that hit in the same vdi range. If it beeps, I dig it. Oh-well, haven't found any rings yet but I have found lots of small toys. The only complaint I have about the MXT PRO is that it is not waterproof. Like down to two hundred feet. It rains so much out here we have to something.

I live in southeast Alaska and it rains more here than anywhere else in America. I have had no problems with my MXT pro in the rain here! I'm talkin rain! We get approx 96""-108"" of precipitation per year!

Isn't it nice to just go detecting when you can
turn on and go!

No menu's to scroll through no graphs to
view and not wondering if everything is set right!

If want to find the gold then we did all repeatable
good signals anyway.,,,,,especially since much
of the gold falls in the pub tab range anyway.

Being able to cover more ground with a good
simple detector has a real advantage ...IMO

Don't get me wrong but the V3i can be as simple to run as the MXT PRO.Just more options for adjusting it.With Whites detectors the performance is there(depth,ID) different models have different options/features.
