Took the GTI 2500 out to the school tonight for an hour...Hunting behind the T2

in the same place.
I had to work really hard to find a dime , a nickle, and a penny. A whole 16 cents found in the same hunting area the T2 just hunted in the last part of last week!

The T2 pulled out 79 cents last week.

Does that mean the T2 wins....not really it means this battle in my head between the T2 and the Garrett GTI 2500 is really driving me nuts!
Of course it has been cold out and my word, it's hard to stay out long and concentrate on what the T2 is saying to me. hehehehe

There is a really noticable difference in the swing weight. T2 Wins....

There is a noticable difference in the ID speed....T2 Wins !

There is a slight difference in the depth......T2 wins!

There is a difference is smaller items and buttons.....T2 Wins!

There is absolutly no difference in pulling junk from the ground, both detectors are capable of that one ! hehehhee

Is there a difference in the sizing yep...Garrett Wins that one and yes it is that important!...

ID lock is still up for grabs....

I'm still not even close to being ready for a full review of the T2 yet! But I'm sure you can tell my opinion of the machine is highly recommended.

It's definatily staying in my household. And it is going to have to fight for 1st place. I like it a lot! And I haven't gotten to get to good places yet.

I got this one place I can't wait to test it at. A hughe siloh on an abandon 1800's farm land. It's loaded with iron. The garrett won't hunt in it!

Well till we get out there...practice makes perfect...
enjoy your T2 today!

But we'll see if the T2 can stand up to it.

Here's a find from 2004 Best find of the year! Paid for detector!

Nice report and great find! Up in these parts, you might get a detector with a pickup thrown in for that ring. ;)

If you're hoping one machine finally "cleans" that test spot so the other one is skunked and you can declare a winner, well, it just might not happen! Coil sweep patterns, angles, and sometimes just "conditions" change. It's why we call it Treasure Hunting and not Treasure Finding and why it can pay to hit the same spot many times over several seasons.

Have you tried them head-to-head on the same targets? Are the latest finds deeper, more scattered, closer to the edges of the area, tilted, fainter? Fewer targets, so the less-obvious ones get noticed? It's an interesting test. I wonder if you will ever see a conclusion! How do you explain your continuing finds in this one small area?

Good looking ring there buddy. I believe I have always like Silver more than I do Gold. Enjoyed the report and waitng for the "rest of the story" when you get to where your weather warms up and you can really take that T2 to the test. I know I am enjoying the heck out of mine. It has found it's fair share of jewelry and coins that's for sure. It's definitely a keeper and will now have to buy it a carrying bag. Bought three sets of rechargeables for it whereas I can have one set in it, take one along just in case, and the other set on the charger. Life is good.!

just take them out together.Mark a few deep targets that your T2 finds, then see if the Garrett can hear them. This way you can stop guessing.
