Took the F75 for a spin today (Pics)

Took the F75 out today and found all the stuff in the following photo. Man, I love this detector. This is one of the newer ones that just shipped. Today was my first hunt with this unit. My older F75 will now be my backup. I believe that shows what I think of this new Fisher.
Does anybody know what the long item on the right is?

Also found a .69 cal minie ball with no oxidation. I've never had that happen. In fact, in the next photo, it is paired with another one I found about twenty yards from where this one was found. What causes this?

Finally, the last photo is of my best bullet of the day. This is my ninth Tom Green from this area.

The bullet with no oxidation looks like a modern muzzle loading bullet

Great finds..question after hunting with both F75 the newer version and your 1st F75 can you tell any difference Between the 2..and are you still using JE mode and 2 tones I think thats what you posted i the past..thanks..good hunting..

Item on the right is a harmonica reed. Very common in camp sites. Very nice selection of finds.

keep on diggin'

I could not tell any difference in the performance and was glad about that. I think the changes were mostly making it sturdier and rainproof. And, yes, I am still using the same setup. JE, 2 tones, 4 disc, 99 sensitivity, F7.

Cool I will be sending mine in for the upgrade soon..You must have low feo to be running maxx sense..thats awesome, your getting
full potential outa your machines..DEEP..I have the feo .3 or more red clay about 50-70 sense in JE..is pretty much max..So I know I am losing a little depth..I keep forgetting to try the 2 tones been using 3,3H which might be a little more busier..hummm will give it a try..thanks..keep up the good work..

Hey Cap, how can I tell if I have one of the new F75's, I just bought mine and have been finding all kinds of good targets
here in Ohio. I've found 2 walking half dollars, 5 silver quarters, at least 10 silver dimes, a 1916 Franc, 1913 Buffalo and many
Wheaties. All of these finds came out of an area that my buddy and I have hunted many, many times.

I have found that if you slow down and hit all the targets that are repeatable, that many good finds are found. I'm just learning, I haven't
even went through a set of batteries yet.

I keep reading this forum and have gotten several good ideas.

Thanks to everyone, gotta love this new Fisher F75.

P.S. Can I tell by my serial number to tell if this detector is one of the new ones. If it is not, can I upgrade my detector and is it worth the upgrade?

To be certain, you would need to call First Texas. But I suspect you have a pre-upgrade model since the upgraded ones didn't ship until a week or ten days ago.

sounds like your doing great..Its a very awesome machine..congrats..
