Took the DF for a spin yesterday and today...

I didn't post my finds here yesterday as the wife was rushing me ;) I'm more and more impressed with the depth I'm getting with the new DF and learning that bottlecaps sound like iron and bobbiepins are a broken signal... I'm running the DF with the Gain at 4 o'clock.. yeah its noisy but its deep... I can handle a noisy threshold as long as I find good stuff :) I'm also running the threshold at the edge of sound and its excallant at picking up the deep whispers.. First picture is yesterdays stuff....

Todays finds: I went back early this mornng to the same beach I hit yesterday with Robert and I wanted to do a slow grid of the area I hit the silver coins in.. I started my grid and picked up the junk ring to the left and a few coins along with the silver quarter and merc dime to its right (cookie coins) I then heard Robert swear and I looked over and saw his coil hanging from his surfmaster... your detector isn't a crutch lol... He was lucky as I keep extra parts for my detectors.... After fixing him up we started detecting again and I continued gridding and pulled two silver rings and more coins... The more and more I use the DF the more I love it... I'm going to remove the batteries from my PI PRO and regulate it to the closet Where I was gridding I was digging through a foot of wet sand then 4 inches of gravel and finally I was hitting a clay/peat layer where the silver was sitting waiting for me... I do think I'm going to be looking at a larger scoop... ;)

edited to add picture on left is todays finds...
