Took the DeLeon for a walk

I have added posts to several topics involving the DeLeon lately, and, because I've been playing with new toys for the most of 2009, I thought I should take the DeLeon out (just to remind myself how good it is). I took it to a playing field where, in 2009 alone I extracted many coins totalling in excess of $130 (could be more, too lazy to check records) with two of my other machines. We have had a few showers of rain recently, so I wondered if the DeLeon my pick up anything that I, and others, have missed. Most of the area was covered in long grass (due to rain) but there was an area which had been mowed (for kids to play cricket), so I kep to the area which had short grass. I wasn't disappointed. In just over 2 hours I found 23 coins ($2x5; $1x4; 20c x 3; 10c x 2; 2c x6; 1c x 3). I found a number of pulltabs and bits of aluminium cans which had been chopped up by mowers, but all coins were at least 2" deep and some 4 to 5" deep. I did not pick up any bottle caps, as the DeLeon picks them out easily, and if you cant recognize them by the audio signal, then the VID identifies them. Well, it worked! I did remind myself. It is a great machine! HH

Hi Beale,
I'm glad you like your DeLeon. The more you are able to use it, the more you will realise how much information it is giving you. Of course, you still have to dig to find out what the target is, but the DeLeon's audio and visual ID combined give you a heck of a good start.

great simplicity, numbers lock on and it is what says 88% of the time as long as you know how to size your target!
