Took the CZ70pro for a 3 hour stroll. It's a killer on deepies:yo:

Gave the SE a rest today and hit a "hunted to death" old church with the old faithful cz70. It is just an absolute killer on deep coins with the 12" sunray coil on it. I found one of the indian heads right at 10" deep...one at 8"...the wheatie at 9"...and the worn out 1895 barber dime straight on edge at 6". This was just a little church yard that my buddies have pounded to death over the last 20 years..but the cz70pro can sniff out the deepies with any machine out there.

nice goin' bryce!..do you think you would have snagged 'em with the xl-pro?...using the 9.5 coil?

Damn Brice..you don't need the Se.Thats some nice stuff my man !!!!

doubt it would have hit the 10" injun. I have always felt that the cz70 was the deepest seeking machine I have ever used. I truly feel it's deeper than my SE...BUT I can't use it in near as many places as the SE. This churchyard was clean...and I mean CLEANED out of almost all signals other than coins too deep for other machines...and junk iron targets from 8" to 12" deep. 8" is about the deepest I have found small coins with the xl pro...at least with good ID on the meter. I think the xl pro would have definately hit the 8" injun though and would probably have hit the 6" barber on edge. The 10" injun' though...I don't think anything but my cz70 would have hit that baby.

One question about the CZ 70.is it an iron eater ???

my cz70pro is the deepest seeking coin machine I have ever used...hands down. I don't feel any other machine I've ever used would have hit that 10" indian...and that includes my SE. The only problem is that the cz doesn't like iron infested sites. That was fine here though because the site has been pounded to oblivion with almost no signals remaining. I've been hunting 30 years and this was my FIRST 10" deep indian head I've ever found.

nails if I can find injuns' at 8" to 10" deep. I dig just as much iron with my SE chasing iffy signals anyway because that's where the deepies are.

Man I may have to trade my Coinstrike for a CZ70...............I thought it was deep..but then I have only used the 5" coil..still have 8 and 10" to try.

That is impressive. For a machine that does that good I wonder how there could be any good used units left for sale. Are they hard to come by?

cz70pro as it is the only digital CZ. I have had each and every CZ since it came out and I'm not looking to start a war here... but my opinion is that the cz70 is slightly deeper...and it does a little better in the iron. That opinion comes from 100's upon 100's of hours in the field using cz's since they first came out in the mid 90's. I also have a test garden that I test each unit and coil on and while any cz will hit the targets in my garden...the cz70 hits the hardest for me. Again that is just my opinion. Ask any cz user and each has his or her favorite. They will all tell you that the cz is and was coil for coil one of the deepest seeking coin shooters ever made. About once every couple of weeks you will see one pop up here on the forum for sale. I bought mine NIB with a lifetime warranty new old stock less than a year ago. That's the ONLY reason I sold my cz7.

To me any CZ goes deep and may be the deepest ID unit on the planet and that includes Explorers also coil for coil. Now add the 12" Sunray coil and you really have a depth demon..Biggest problem with a CZ is they like extremely rusty deep nails which usually hit in the high coin area or a iron to high coin bounce. With practice in the field and reading Mikes CZ page which you can find in Google you can know when its a deep nail most of the time and will dig few unless perhaps going for a deep iffie..May be 90's technology, but why fix what ain't broke should cover it all...Do remember proper ground balance and using the optimum sens equates to superior depth.

the cz ground balanced clear up between the 1 and 2 on the knob??? Never had that happen before and it almosy always balances between 4 to 5 like normal. Don't know why...but it sure didn't affect my depth any. Has that ever happenned to you before.

Dial in ground mineralization, expertise of operator and yes some are tuned a hair deeper whether analog or digital and your buddies might go an inch or so deeper or vice versa.Standing on the edge of the field with either an analog or digital I would feel if they are there I would find the deepies with either.
I really feel over the years and many model CZ's Fisher has improved the iron liking capabilities and a CZ70 would probably be superior to earlier models and have to agree on that point...

my cz70 just seems to be a little better in the iron. Don't get me wrong...I still dig iron...but not any more than I do with any other unit when chasing deepies.
It might just be all in my head...but it seems the technology on the 70 was just a little better in the iron.

Bryce was explained to me years ago the bobbing method is the most accurate and the number it ground balances on may vary from area..Usually in my area a 4 to 7 number is applicable but now and then it goes out of that range so its perfectly normal. Sounds like you have that CZ humming.....

LOL.When you get tired of digging so deep I have a coinstrike I will trade you..Hahahahaha Just kidding Bryce !!!!

but that it takes some getting used to. I almost ordered one a few months ago when they had the sale for $550 NIB.

Yes Bruce they are very deep..Just sending you a little humor I have one with 5"- 10.5"- and 8' Coils and it works like a charm'
Heck the 5" coil hits targets at 5 to 7 inches with no problems at all.

Should have been Bryce not Bruce..Sorry Bryce typo error

you are probably right!..if it was a silver dime, even on edge it WOULD get it!..copper's tough!..not as good a conductor as silver!..i think the dual frequencies paid off here!..got you a couple more inches on the copper!
