Took the CTX 3030 Plung...

I ordered the ctx last week through Bart at Big Boys Hobbies and got an outstanding deal with the holiday package and all. It arrived yesterday, and I spent much of the night assembling it/reading the manual. So, if time permits, I'll try it out tonight. Looking for some suggestions about where I should begin...I created a combined mode and loaded it into the ctx, but should I begin with combined mode or start with preprogrammed coin mode? Additionally, I regularly use the etrac so I'm hoping that cuts the learning curve some?

Thank you

Combined is great. If your sensitivity is below 17, run it in Ground Coin. If sensitivity is 18 or greater, run in Ferrous Coin. Start with that.

vanbibr, are you talking about the green suggested sensitivity level...and also, if below 17, is that indicative of high mineralized ground? The ground where I normally hunt seems to always be below 17...would a ground balance be in order?

Thanks

Yes and Yes. If your machine is acting unstable, then yes, you could try to ground balance to see if that helps.
