Took the Compadre on a hike.....what is this?

Every thing was found in the same location

Anyone know what this is? could be 1869 or 1969...

This is some kind of weight

Here's some buttons etc.

Not a bad day for hiking....My intentions were to make my way to the opposite side of a river that once had a bridge......I've searched the easily accessible side and found some nice gilted buttons...... I was prob with in 5 mins walking distance today, but was running out of water and my 4 year old had enough hiking by then.

I nearly brought the Vaquero, but I wanted to run the Compadre for a change. It did very well in the Iron.
