I took the new Silver umax on its first hunt with the 8" coil (2/1.---Found (2) Mercs (1917-D & 39-S)--(2) Wheaties ('56-D & '53-S)--a really cute & detailed 2 1/2" long guitar emblem stamped "Mexico Silver" and of course the usual clad.---That '17-D Merc just missed being the King (key date '16-D) by one #!---Oh well, I'll get that one next time!! ---Nothing was all that deep (around 4").---What a fun, light little detector to hunt with--I think this lad & I are going to get along JUST FINE!--Now if I can just find an Eldo to keep him company! ---------Del
I love my Silver uMax. It is a no-nonsense, great machine. Mine still looks almost like new, but the shaft creaks a little. I've dug alot of goodies with mine for the last few years. Never would part with that one....
I don't use mine as much as i should . Between water hunting and other detectors but it is
fun and easy to use. I must say when i got mine and opened the box i laughed out loud.
It does what is suppose to which make me wonder why some detectors are a shoe box
under your arm
