NICEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Finds. I sure wish we had more old coins around here where I live, ND,Like some of the guys living out east. Its always nice to find Indian head cents and V-Nickels. Very Nice
Thanks for sharing the pictures.
JoeDirt, Thanks alot for all the info, I used to do alot of research and you know the funny thing is I just never followed up on hardly any of it. I have to dig out my old notes and go and hit some of them places. I know it takes alot of time, By the time a guy tracks the property down and then try and find the owner. I am sure you know what I mean. I told my Son that its best to just leave the detectors at home and spend the whole day running down a spot or two, Then when a guy has all it lined up, Go hit it hard.
Again, Thanks so much for all your help.
Good luck out there.
Lutherluke, you are correct about doing the legwork researching the site and gaining permission to hunt it. For me that is the fun part...I like finding out about the history that happened locally and have located some sites that are very promising by spending a little time reading and talking to old timers. Once located, you may have a site that will produce finds for years to come. I have a site here that used to be a church picnic grounds that is located in a grove of trees that was located in 1986 and it is still producing coins today. It can be time consuming finding new sites, but will be well worth the effort in the end. Good luck with your research..............Roger
