Took my MXT for a walk today...

checked out a corn field where there was a school in the 1860's. Only hunted an hour and covered about half the site so I'll be going back. The eagle cuff button is a first for me the others I've dug have all been the larger ones. Nothing great found but it was sure good to get out.

Great finds there. What year is the Indian on the left? Good luck with the other half of the field. Don't forget to go another direction quite a few times before calling it quits. You'll be surprised how much you'll find. Keep us posted and thanks for sharing the pictures! HH to all, Nancy

the IH is an 1887 and has been hit by a plow. Since this is a corn field, it's hard to walk across the rows. Maybe in the fall after the beans are harvested it will be easier to walk across the rows.

Thanks Phil. I love the Indian cents. They are so cool. Wouldn't be great if we had such beautiful coins now! Another one of my faves is the Buffalo nickel. The old type. HH and thanks again, Nancy
