Took my modified Sovereign elite on a shake down hunt yesterday.....

I waterproofed it some time back, and haven't tried it in a real hunt yet. I hauled it over to Virginia beach, but never got it out.
I went in a lake with it yesterday, and pulled out coins, lots of junk, and a Timex diamond quartz watch that was junk.
dusty diver, (aka Grumpy) says it ain't neither a diamond, but as tiny as it is, it has to be.
he's just unhappy because the one ring found, (by him), a class ring, was not gold. Hey, we had a good time tho.
The Sovereign absolutely BANGS on signals, and is stable as a rock.
Thats important, because I have to turn it on, then seal it in the waterproof case.
So, other than some minor modifications to the case straps, etc. I'd have to say I'm very pleased with my waterproof sovereign.

When you hunt in the water do you set your Elete on Disc or all metal? How much did it cost to waterproof the Elete and did you do it yourself?
