Took My Explorer XS for a little walk today

Got out this morning and took my Explorer XS for a little walk, found the usual trash , nails , screws and the ever present pull tab.
I got a reading, was deeper than everything else so I dug it up...out of the dirt popped a pocket watch. Turned out to be only the case but still.
I got it home and washed it inside there was writing it said
KEYSTONE
18% nickel base metal
and had a serial number of 556108
Also has initials...still trying to make them out.
According to research it was made from 1902 to 1930.....not bad for a hunted area.

My kind of walk. Years ago I hunted an old park and remember trying to locate a deep signal. I dug probably a foot and gave up. I was still fairly new to the hobby. That signal still bothers me. I think I may revisit and try to locate it.

Once went 14-15 inches for the spout of an ancient teapot...Wasn't easy but never regretted it..On the same token 100 miles from home was working on a like signal and it got dark..Never returned but 10 years later still wonder on that one...
