Hello All,

I did not bother to read the manual. I fired it up and started sweeping our yard. I've been over our yard with my XS with a half dozen coils and my F-75. Signals are VERY few except for the zillion zincolns scattered about. And like most older homes the yard is very dense with nails and other iron. But deeper coins have been very scarce. Surprised myself to scare up another IH in the last year or so.

Anyways; after about a couple feet of swinging get a lower tone hit that said 6" and down I went and up came a 1925 Buffalo in quite nice shape. Much better omen than clad. I only had an hour or so of daylight left so I puttered about and dug a few of those zillion zincolns, but did manage another wheatie.

Lots of chirps and whistles I had no idea of what buttons did what. I've since sat inside and played with the menus, things are making more sense. Next to read the manual. And perhaps tomorrow will head to some of my old sites I've hunted hard with my XS. I can still find coins here with it but it is hours in between coins instead of minutes when I first discovered the site.

I am glad it showed up OK and you had a chance to try it before the weather gets bad, I sure hope it does well for you on Friday and you have some good finds to show us later on.
