Took my AT PRO for another walk today

Jason in TN

I have ran two sets of batteries down now and am really starting to get the feel for my AT. The audio is like no other in pro mode the nautilus may be close but the at has more audio
info than even it does. if you are worried about depth don't the AT will give proper id as deep as any thing I have hunted with and I have swung a few. I have no problems with coil falsing hitting briars and twigs like Tom says this may be a problem on some coils. Any way on to the hunt.

You're killin' me with those comments about the audio... I am going to have to sell something soon and get me an AT.

Good going Jason! Now that you have gone through a few sets of batteries, have you got a feel for how long they last?

Jerry

Thanks for your videos jason. My neighbors love to see what i pull out of the ground with my detector. And I tell them about these videos that people like you produce and the civil war artifacts and they cant believe whats still in the ground. Good luck with the ATPRO

I am guessing about 15 hours put some lithium ones in this time they should last longer. Changing them when they get to one bar left have not hunted until they die all the way.

Thanks just getting started playing with making video my camera is only fair but hope to get better at it as I go. The camera I use is a waterproof one I found actually metal detecting on the bottom of a creek where they do a lot of tubbing. Hope to find some rings there next summer with the AT.

Jason

Yeah anyplace where they do tubing is hot for jewelry, watches, etc. There are some folks in Arizona who make a killing every year on a river where the tubers flock to by the hundreds. They wait until the river is down then hit the deep holes.

Yea have found some jewelry there before but it is some of the hardest hunting I have ever done. Lots of trash targets slick rocks and every target is a challenge to dig out of the rocks. Always sore the next day. Was rumors of a $3000 ring lost in the creek but no one I know that hunts it ever found it.

Thanks for taking the time and sharing that video.

I learned on a Nautilus IIB so your comments regarding the audio really catch my attention. I know it's a long road to understanding such descriptive sounds, but once you learn them lookout! I've heard it before that this digital machine has the most analogue sound of any digital machine out, that is very attractive.
